Wow, what a challenge this hat was, but I’m super happy with the way it turned out! This is a Marsh version of the hat Tom Selleck wore in the movie, “Quigley Down Under.” He plays a sharp shooting cowboy that somehow lands in Australia and goes up against a villain played by the great, Alan Rickman. Selleck’s hat is a very popular one in today’s western world, and is definitely one of the best hats he wore in any of the westerns he starred in. I hand made the hatband to match as best I could to his in the movie, went with a 5 inch brim and a 6.25 inch tall crown. Added some distressing around the crown for that worn look, all done in a 50% beaver felt in the color, Sahara. Off to Iowa where I’m sure it will make a great home.

We don't just adapt a preexisting hat to make an impression of the look, we form our hats by hand exactly like the original.
