Excited to show off this pure nutria custom hat heading to Louisiana. A lot of nutria actually make there homes in the swamps and bayous of Louisiana, and are often considered an invasive species, but they make a great hat!
We went with a 3.5 inch lower crown, outdoor/old fashioned style, and I really love the way it turned out. It works for both men and women also.
The nutria hats are more pliable than the beaver, and are perfect for the shorter brim hats that have that roll or curl to them. They are a cousin to the beaver, so they have some water resistance and durability to them.
